《海綿寶寶》是一部由派拉蒙影業和美國尼克兒童頻道合作制作的電影，1905影業公司也參與出品。保羅·提比特執導，湯姆·肯尼和比爾·法格巴克等人配音，安東尼奧·班德拉斯也在其中出演。
影片主要講述了海綿寶寶領導幾個伙伴，冒險穿越海底世界，變身為超級英雄，打敗海盜，奪回蟹黃堡秘方的故事。這部電影的故事圍繞著蟹黃堡的神秘配方展開，痞老板和蟹老板之間也因此開始了新一輪的戰爭。雖然海綿寶寶成功挫敗了痞老板的攻勢，但仍然中了對方的詭計。隨著配方的消失，海底世界陷入了混亂和動蕩，日常依賴蟹黃堡的比奇堡居民也不得不面對這個威脅。在這種情況下，由于搭救了痞老板，海綿寶寶被大家視為叛徒。
